Environmental Impact Assessment

Prior Approval
Preparing applications requesting prior approval from the local planning authority that demonstrate qualification for permitted development including demolition, solar PV panels and building extensions.
Permitted Change of Use
Applications to demonstrate compliance with the qualifying criteria in the General Permitted Development Order for change of use, including change of use from agricultural buildings to dwellinghouses or buildings in commercial use to dwellinghouses.
Lawful Development Certificates
Applications to secure a Lawful Development Certificate to demonstrate development has been undertaken lawfully or planning permission is extant or that there is immunity from enforcement.
Enforcement Resolution
Responding to enforcement notices on behalf of clients to help resolve issues in a timely manner with an outcome acceptable to all parties.

Contractor Brims Construction is making excellent progress on the construction of a new educational skills and training centre in Loftus, Redcar and Cleveland. IC Planning helped secure planning permission for the development in February 2023.

IC Planning is delighted to have helped Rockliffe Hall Hotel, Golf & Spa Resort secure planning permission for a new standalone fine dining restaurant and listed building consent for a complete refurbishment and reconfiguration of the main hotel.

Exciting progress for Placefirst on-site at Benwell Dene
Contractors Lovell and Applebridge have successfully completed the first phase of foundation works at Benwell Dene in Newcastle. IC Planning worked on behalf of Placefirst to secure full planning permission in July 2023 for the development of 146 new homes.

Three applications submitted for Battery Energy Storage Systems
IC Planning has submitted three planning applications for BESS on behalf of Fig Power in Newcastle, Gateshead and North Somerset. If approved, this will provide a combined total of 210MW of essential energy storage to support the National Grid.
